I have been a stroller running momma for 7 1/2 years now! My, how time flies when you’re having fun! When I was pregnant with my oldest, I knew I would be logging a lot of miles and would need some wheels for the baby. I also knew that I didn’t want to buy a single stroller only to buy a double stroller a year or two later when baby number 2 came along. So naturally, I bought a double stroller even before I had my baby! Ha, let’s just say I like to plan ahead. The running stroller I chose was the Bob Revolution. I consider it a member of our family. It is easily one of the best purchases I have ever made! I seriously love it so so much! You can find them HERE. With my favorite BOB accessories HERE.
And just like I’d anticipated…
20 months later…
And now these two little sweeties are old enough to ride or run so…
Of course I had to have two more to fill the double stroller.
How about some action shots…
So now, here I am training for a marathon… and a lot of my miles have to be pumped out pushing my stroller full of sweet kids. I typically don’t run over six miles with my kids in tow. My kids love going on “stroller rides”… and I would have to brag that I am a professional “stroller baby” raiser. Many nap times go down on these wheels.. it literally puts my kids to sleep!

So now that you know a little bit about my background as a mother stroller runner, I wanted to share with you some tricks and tidbits that I’ve discovered along the way that have made for happy kids and happy running!
What’s In My Running Stroller?
1. Snacks/Water
2. Books
This boy and I fill his little backpack with whatever he needs to get him through the run. He honestly doesn’t get into his backpack too much because he enjoys looking around, talking, and seeing lizards, bunnies, a coyote (the other day!), and saying hi to other runners.
3. Toys
For this particular run, it was a light saber. It seemed as though I was pushing a gladiator on his chariot!
4. Baby supplies (if applicable)
I bring a warm blanket or two (just in case both kids might get cold), a burp rag, pacifier, a toy, and my secret weapon…
5. My PHONE
I use my phone to play white noise if baby starts to get fussy!
Just YouTube “White Noise for Babies” and I use the first one that comes up. HERE.
I also like to track my runs with this app…
6. My Running Items
Bring whatever you think you might need. For me, I need my inhaler (I have exercise induced asthma), a jacket if it might be cold, a hat, and a snack for me.
I don’t bring headphones so that I can be fully aware of my surroundings. Just crank up your music on your phone or device. You’re kids will like listening too!
Safety:
Always make sure you are in a safe area! I cannot stress this enough. It is also wise to have someone with you, and some mace HERE or a clip alarm like THIS.

One more plug for the Bob Revolution Stroller
Heather is a Bob Revolution mother stroller runner too!!!
Happy trails and much love to you and your kiddos!

We’ve been through a lot together, this stroller and I.
