I’m sure most of you watched the Super Bowl yesterday. Or if you’re like me, you love football, but when you don’t love either team playing you’re there for the food and to watch the commercials! I think the commercials were top notch this year! Funny and more heart warming than normal, which I really liked. Especially this one. If you haven’t seen it yet, you need to take 2 minutes and watch it right now!
What do you think? I immediately felt myself getting teary eyed and thinking of my sweet daughter who just turned 8. She is strong, confident and everything I think “Like A Girl” should mean. She is a dancer and gymnast and is a perfect combination of strong and graceful. I hope she stays just that way.
I know at that age, I was happy but not as confident as she is. I hope we are re-defining “LIKE A GIRL” in our homes, schools, churches and everywhere. Lets empower our young girls and young women with confidence and strength. We can do that in a beautiful way. We need girls that are brave, true, honest, virtuous, humble, tough, and know who they are. They don’t need to act like boys by any means, girls can be both bold and beautiful at the same time.
Laura and I quickly texted each other and took to our Instagram accounts like many did and joined in on the Hashtags #LIKEAGIRL and #RUNLIKEAGIRL because we were so excited about this. Here is what we posted last night.

I think she sums up here with this quote what we both think and feel on the subject perfectly.
#Run #LikeAGirl cause seriously, we can do ANYTHING! “Femininity “is the divine adornment of humanity. It finds expression in your capacity to love, your spirituality, delicacy, radiance, sensitivity, creativity, charm, graciousness, gentleness, dignity, and quiet strength. It is manifest differently in each girl or woman, but each possesses it. Femininity is part of your inner beauty.” -James E. Faust. —I missed the Super Bowl but heard about this awesome Always commercial! Let us remember that being a girl totally rocks!!! #RunLikeAGirl #Always #GirlPower #BeStrong #FeminineAndFast #runnergirl #runmom #marathonmomma PhotoCredit: @megjenson
Laura and I were able to meet up for a couple of days when she was in Salt Lake visiting. It was so fun to be reunited again! We also did a mini photoshoot downtown and wanted to share a sneak peak! Excited to show you more soon! This is how we RUN LIKE GIRLS!
We think this movement is amazing! If you want to participate in an upcoming post about “LIKE A GIRL”, please email us! We’d love to hear from you!
